I use table-top experiments to study pattern formation, instabilities, and structure-property relations in fluids, interfaces, and amorphous solids. My research focuses on the dynamics of particle-laden interfaces, where particles trapped at liquid surfaces interact with interfacial flows, exhibiting behaviors such as rapid surfactant-driven dispersion and self-organization governed by capillary and Marangoni flows.
By integrating controlled experiments with modeling and simulations, I investigate how microscopic interactions drive macroscopic transport and structure formation, with applications in material science, environmental processes, and biological systems. Beyond particle-laden interfaces, my work extends to broader challenges in soft matter and fluid dynamics, including biofluids, tribogranular media, and carbon-based materials.
